The area next to the school that has been fenced off with orange fencing contains Japanese Knot Weed (a particularly invasive and damaging species of alien plant). Scottish Woodlands have been treating the area and are due to do another spraying soon, as well as restore the perimeter fencing that has been disrupted by the recent winds. In the mean time there is evidence of regrowth from previous sprayings so the area and everything in it must be treated as contaminated.
The next slide show will be Restoration of a Chinese Lacquer Cabinet, a free event and all are welcome. Tea and biscuits at the end. Friday 29th August starting at 7.30pm
