Bracadale Beach Blitz – 9th & 10th May
With volunteers and a boat from Scottish Coastal Clean Up we’ll be blitzing the beaches and islands around Loch Bracadale.
Meeting points are:
Harlosh, Camas Ban Beach (what3words obviously.mixer.weekday)
Portnalong Pier (what3words video.snake.shuttling)
From 10am onwards.
Other meeting points will be weather dependent so please contact skyebeachcleans@gmail.com to be kept informed.
On Friday 9th, there will also be an open house at the School from 3pm to 9pm. Join us for workshops and discussion around marine litter and what can be done with it.

80th anniversary of VE Day, 10th May – Afternoon Tea
Come and celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with Afternoon Tea at Struan School on Saturday 10th May from 2.30pm.
We are looking for helpers and bakers.
If anyone in the Struan community area would like to attend but has no transportation, please let me know.
If anyone has photos/memorabilia etc from then, we would appreciate it if we could use them on the day.

Craft Night Cancelled this week
Craft night at Struan school on Thursday 17th, cancelled due to family bereavement.

Craft Night will be on as usual on Thursday 6th March from 7pm to 9pm, all are welcome.
Coffee in the Classroom will be on Saturday 8th March from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Your supervisors will be Ali and Marie, all are welcome. Please note this will be the last one of these for the time being.
Kaly Group will be holding a Pre-Application Event on Monday 10th from 5pm to 8pm (not 5-7pm as in the advert in the paper). This is your opportunity to find out and ask questions about the kelp farm that Kaly are proposing in Loch Bracadale so pop in between 5 and 8pm.
